The site is part of BirdLife International´s [//https://www.birdlife.org/worldwide/programmes/forests-hope Forests of Hope program], which aims to restore natural forests and support their long-term management. BirdLife International is also carrying out monitoring projects in the [//https://www.rspb.org.uk/our-work/conservation/projects/tropical-forests-research/ site]. As part of the [//https://www.scnlliberia.org/our-work GolaMa Project], the Society for Conservation of Nature in Liberia (SCNL) works to manage and protect the surrounding parts of the Gola forest that are not protected.
