Site characteristics

The site is located in the savanna-woodlands of southeastern Senegal, 15 km away from the Fongoli research site (Badji et al. 2018).

Threats

Direct threats at Bagnomba include deforestation around the base of the hill due to agriculture and livestock grazing. Gold mining is present within a 3 km radius from the hill (Badji et al. 2018).
